The Commercial Vehicle Industry Development Conference will be held in Shiyan, Hubei on March 26, 20253

The rapid growth of exports has become an important driving force and one of the main highlights of China’s commercial vehicle market in the past two years. According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the export volume of commercial vehicles reached 904000 units in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 17.5%, mainly exported to regions such as Asia, Europe, and Latin America. In particular, the export growth potential of new energy commercial vehicles is enormous. From January to February this year, the export of commercial vehicles was 145000 units, a year-on-year increase of 6.9%; Among them, 14000 new energy commercial vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 1.9 times.

Industry insiders believe that with the improvement of export policies at the national and regional levels, active exploration of overseas markets by enterprises, and increasing emphasis on enhancing international business capabilities, coupled with multiple factors such as innovation in China’s new energy technology and continuous improvement in product quality, China’s commercial vehicle exports have achieved rapid growth. First of all, the country has introduced a series of policies and measures to encourage enterprises to “go global”, creating a good policy environment for enterprises to explore overseas markets. Countries and regions along the “the Belt and Road” have strong demand for infrastructure construction, providing a broad market space for China’s commercial vehicle exports. Secondly, after years of rapid development, China’s commercial vehicle market has entered a stage of stock competition with a slower growth rate. In order to seek new growth points, enterprises have turned their attention to overseas markets, increased their export efforts, and gradually established research and development centers, production bases, and sales networks overseas. They continuously improve their localized production and operation capabilities, pay more attention to brand building and after-sales service, and enhance brand influence and user satisfaction. Finally, after years of technological accumulation and innovation, product quality and performance have been continuously improved, and the gap with foreign brands has gradually narrowed. It has been well received by users in developing countries and regions, and the rapid growth in demand for new energy commercial vehicles is particularly noteworthy, which provides new export opportunities for China’s commercial vehicles and related enterprises.

However, it should be noted that China’s commercial vehicle exports also face some challenges, such as international trade frictions, technological barriers, and insufficient brand influence. Various pressures and challenges are constantly increasing internationally, especially with the end of the US presidential election, the situation is becoming more complex and severe. For Chinese commercial vehicle industry enterprises, the international influence and technological level of their own brands also need to be further improved. Industry experts analyze that the export growth rate should still be good in the first half of this year, but the uncertainty in the second half of the year will increase.

The theme sub venue of “Commercial Vehicle Export and International Development” at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Industry Development Conference aims to gain insights into global commercial vehicle development trends, grasp market trends, and face challenges in going global; Research policies and regulations to avoid potential risks; Building an international brand and enhancing marketing efficiency; Improve service system and enhance customer satisfaction; Make good use of financial instruments to safeguard the interests of enterprises; Seize the opportunity of new energy and lead future travel.
