Dongfeng Cummins’ 4 millionth engine goes offline

The production workshop of Dongfeng Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Dongfeng Cummins”) heavy-duty intelligent factory has produced the 4 millionth engine. The 4 millionth engine produced this time is the recently upgraded Z15N FE National VI engine from Dongfeng Cummins, which has strong power performance, excellent climbing ability, low gas consumption characteristics, and high reliability.

 

Since 1986, Dongfeng Cummins has been driven by technological innovation and has developed engine, transmission, and power chain technologies in sync with the European and American markets, helping China’s light, medium, and heavy-duty engine manufacturing technology to make a leap forward. From 3 million units to 4 million units, it is an accelerated breakthrough in Dongfeng Cummins’ digital transformation and green upgrading. In 2019, the flexible assembly line for the National VI engine was put into operation; In 2020, the construction of a heavy-duty engine manufacturing line was launched, introducing intelligent logistics solutions such as three-dimensional warehouses and AGVs; In 2023, the heavy-duty intelligent factory will be put into operation, and Dongfeng Cummins will make significant breakthroughs in its digital and intelligent manufacturing transformation.

 

Entering the production workshop of Dongfeng Cummins’ heavy-duty intelligent factory, the reporter saw a large number of advanced manufacturing technologies and digital application scenarios, as well as a series of automated, flexible, green, and intelligent production innovations, which not only achieved a qualitative leap in Dongfeng Cummins’ production efficiency, but also comprehensively improved product quality.
